Campaigning for a sustainable Central Coast

I promise to work hard for our community to:

• make the Central Coast the best region to live in Australia
• stimulate meaningful local job creation
• build more footpaths and bike paths
• improve public transport options on the Coast
• improve Council support services for primary carers of children, people with disabilities & the ageing 
• campaign for improved medical resources in our area including a 24/7 fractures clinic at Gosford Hospital
• encourage environmental, social and economic sustainability for the Central Coast
• support local businesses and local primary producers
• ensure Central Coast Council is a customer service oriented, accountable, professional and transparent organisation, serving its residents and using our resources for the best long term outcomes for our community
• preserve our precious land held in trust for the community, coastal open spaces and reserves
• protect our water supply and our environment from pollution and mining
• build on our reputation as an international tourist destination
• attract environmentally and socially sustainable industries to the region to provide sustainable economic development and local jobs
• promote and encourage healthy community development
• provide real solutions to reduce crime and vandalism, through positive community initiatives
• maintain and improve our parks, libraries and other essential community facilities
• maintain and improve Council’s community services
• encourage sensitive and strategic urban development for our increasing population - development which builds and encourages healthy and liveable communities
• preserve the character and charm of our local communities through sensitive development control plan
• work on real solutions for mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change in our region
• investigate opportunities for an internationally recognised university on the Central Coast
